Jackie and the team are patient and always serve good quality food. I shop here at least 3x a week. Saves this tired mom from making dinner for a hectic, busy and demanding family.

Before I attended a show at the Apollo Theater, I visited this rustic and unassuming spot to enjoy some authentic Caribbean food. Im new to New York, so I wanted to eat at a place true to the urban landscape in Harlem. This place certainly didnt disappoint. There was a steady flow of people in and out but there was plenty of sitting for me to dine-in. I ordered the large curry goat for 15 and got plenty of food. Truthfully, the portion size could feed two or three average sized people. The goat was cooked and seasoned very well as it probably had been stewing for some time which made it tender too. The cabbage was crisp, maybe somewhat raw, but still good. The plantains were really good and sweet and the rice and beans were savory since they were covered in gravy and the juice from the curry goat. The food was hot and the curry spice gave this dish a nice scent. I was not disappointed at all. Some people have complained about the customer service but my experience was good. She made my order, didnt short me on food, asked the necessary questions to complete my order, and left me alone. To me, this is quality customer service. Will you be greeted with warm hellos and broad smiles? Probably not. But I would rather be served good food at decent prices rather than receive chummy service and pay 27 for less food and a nicer decor. Overall, my experience was great and exactly what I expected and wanted.

From the moment I walked in, the service was incredible. I was warmly greeted by a gentleman with locs as I stood in line, which immediately set a positive tone. When I got to the counter, the lady helping me was so courteous and kind. Gabriel offered me three different rice options — rice and peas, spinach rice, and white rice — and even though the lunch special technically ended at 4:15 PM, they still honored the 9.15 deal even after the cut-off time. I have never experienced this level of service in a Caribbean restaurant, especially not at a Golden Krust franchise. The staff here truly went above and beyond. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I genuinely felt valued as a customer. Gabriel mentioned that she takes pride in making sure this location offers great customer service, and let me tell you — it shows. That warmed my heart. This visit was such a breath of fresh air. Kudos to the entire team at this location — you’ve gained a customer when I’m uptown and in the mood for Caribbean food. I will absolutely be back! Thank you guys again

I stopped by this place on a Thursday evening around 6:30. I’m usually a bit hesitant when visiting Jamaican restaurants because the customer service can sometimes be lacking. Well, this was a great surprise. The ladies working there were incredibly polite and helpful, even ending our interaction with a lovely “It was a pleasure serving you.” It made the experience all the more enjoyable. I spent just under 40 and got a large chicken curry, spicy patties, and a small order of spicy wings. The portion sizes were generous, and it easily fed four people and the food was great. Next time I’m craving Golden Krust, I’ll definitely be returning to this location.

This is the best golden crust location in all of NYC. No other golden crust has such a wonderful staff like the one here on 125th street. They have a lunch special that caters to the community of hard working individuals. A lovely and friendly staff as well as the best food. I refuse to eat anywhere else for my lunch break. They are always so consistent with flavor and portion sizes! Please come visit them and get the jerk wings!!
